This year the breeding season started on the first week of March. I've started as usual with 8 breeding couples and 4 surrogate females. Due to the coronavirus situation I have to work home, therefor i had more time to spend on my Timbraod's . The first round was a very good one, with an average of 4,76 nestlings per couple ( in total 39 nestlings). Therefore I've decided to go for the second round with only 5 couples and 2 surrogate females.
Statistics of the frist round
Total 38 fledglings.
One nestling died , crashed during the night by his siblings and his mother on top. He was the weakest one who hatched one day later than his siblings.
Another one had his leg fractured by his mother trying to take the ring off his leg. But at the end the leg healed very well and I had to cut the ring .
Now let's wait and see how is going to be the second round.
